👉Eating a healthy, nutritious, balanced, whole food diet to make sure your body has the right building blocks is paramount to your health.
👉Moving your body daily for at least 30min can reduce stress levels, increase energy, improve digestion, increase endorphins in your body, hence improve your mood and stimulate your lymphatic system to remove waste.
👉Hydrating your body (8 glasses per day/ 2 Liters) with filtered water, coconut water, herbal teas or vegetable broth will help your body thrive.
👉Sleeping at least 8 hours per night helps your body repair, heal and recharge.
👉Avoiding smoking as this increases toxins in our bodies, leads to zinc deficiency, weakened immune system, lung disease, heart disease and can lead to stroke.
👉Being mindful of alcohol consumption as alcohol prevents your body from properly absorbing the vitamins and minerals from foods you eat. Excessive alcohol consumption can lead to a multiple of health implications.
👉Going out in nature to expose our bodies to Vitamin D, fresh air for our lungs has a positive impact on our general health and mood. E.g. the park, beach, forest, botanical gardens.
👉Work life balance- if you’re working from home please make sure you have set work hours so you can clock off, turn your computer off, step away from your desk and work space. I encourage you to go for a walk or do a home workout either before work or on your break.
👉Having regular breaks from our devices (phones, computers, laptops, I-pads, I-phones, video games, TV’s) helps us sleep better, may reduce anxiety, improves posture, helps reduce eye strains & headaches.
👉Creating a daily self-care routine where you check in with yourself, do something that’s good for your soul e.g. guided meditation, listen to music, dance, sing, journal, read a book, draw, paint, find an inspiring quote.
👉De-cluttering your home office, wardrobe, home, garage or shed can not only create space it can help reduce anxiety and make you feel lighter and happier.
